On-Ice Expectations
Junior Rangers on-ice activities follow the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM), emphasizing age-appropriate skill development through a fun and engaging approach. Participants will rotate through small-area games, station-based drills, and high-paced practices that focus on skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting. This model ensures players build a strong foundation in hockey fundamentals while developing decision-making and teamwork in game-like situations. By utilizing cross-ice games and a variety of drills, the camp maximizes puck touches and player involvement, fostering growth in a supportive and motivating environment.
Off Ice Expectations
Junior Rangers Youth Hockey Camp off-ice activities are designed to complement on-ice development while promoting fun, fitness, and camaraderie. Campers will participate in street hockey training sessions to enhance stickhandling, positioning, and agility in a relaxed, game-like setting. Team-building exercises will foster cooperation, communication, and leadership among players, while off-ice exercise sessions focus on improving strength, endurance, and overall athleticism. Additionally, recreational time offers a chance for campers to unwind and build friendships, ensuring a well-rounded experience that balances training with fun.
